Description: Meropenem is an ultra-broad spectrum, beta-lactam antibiotic belonging to the subgroup carbapenem and is used to treat a wide variety of infections. Inhibits cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin binding proteins (PBPs) of gram-positive and gram-negative organisms.
