Puromycin.Dihydrochloride [P1033]
Description: Puromycin is an antibiotic used in molecular biology for selecting mammalian cell lines, which have been transformed by vectors that express puromycin-N-acetyl-transferase. Puromycin, the antibiotic, acts by inhibiting translation by causing premature termination. It does this by binding to the A site in place of tyrosyl-tRNA during transpeptidation.
