Product Description
A reversible and membrane-permeable blocker of IP3-mediated Ca2+ release. It does not interact with the IP3-binding site. Also reported to block the increase in intracellular calcium in vascular smooth muscle cells completely at a concentration of 25 mM. Xestospongin C also inhibits the sarcoplasmic reticulum Ca2+ ATPase pump at concentrations of 700nM. This product is freely soluble in organic solvents such as chloroform, ethyl acetate, and methyl acetate and slightly soluble in DMSO and H2O.
