Baclofen is an agonist for the GABAB (gamma-aminobutyric acid) receptors. Baclofen is a muscle relaxant and an antispastic agent result from actions at spinal and supraspinal sites. It can also be used to treat hicuups, and has shown to prevent rises in body temperature induced by the drug MDMA in rats.
