Steffimycin B is a anthracycline metabolite isolated from a Streptomyces sp. displaying antibacterial and antineoplastic properties. Binding to DNA, crystallographic studies suggest that it has a higher CpG base sequence specificity over the TpA step, similar to that of daunorubicin and nogalamycin.
