Product Description
Cytochalasin D is a cell-permeable fungal toxin, 10-fold more effective than Cytochalasin B. Binds to barbed end of actin filaments, inhibiting the association and dissociation of subunits. Causes disruption of actin filaments, and inhibition of actin polymerization. Does not inhibit monosaccharide transport across cell membranes. Reported to exhibit antitumor activity, and induce apoptosis.
