The ProteomeStore™ Heart Cytosolic Proteins preparation is a lyophilized formulation of soluble whole rat heart proteins in a stabilizing buffer containing protease and phosphatase inhibitors. Suitable for both SDS-PAGE and applications requiring non-denatured proteins. Ideal for proteomic studies which require preservation of naturally occurring protein phosphorylation states. The ProteomeStore™ Heart cytosolic preparation provides an off-the-shelf proteome reagent which may be used in such applications as profiling studies to discover variations in relative protein abundances, immunocapture of native-state proteins of interest and identifying unique electrophoretic mobility patterns of proteins contained within the rat heart proteome. Prepared using a Teflon® pestal homogenizer (Potter-Elvehjem), clarified by centrifugation at 40,000 g for 20 minutes and supernatants immediately frozen for lyophilization. Heart tissue used in this preparation was obtained from Sprague-Dawley rats, 7-8 weeks old.br> br>
