Since variations in urinary proteins serve as important biomarkers of human disease activity, the ProteomeStore™ Urinary Protein Concentrate preparation provides a convenient, stabilized, off-the-shelf proteome reagent which may be used in such applications as profiling studies to discover variations in relative protein abundances, immunocapture of native-state proteins of interest and identifying unique electrophoretic mobility patterns of proteins contained within the urinary proteome. ProteomeStore™ Urinary Protein Concentrate is a lyophilized formulation of soluble human urinary proteins containing stabilizing buffer which helps preserve proteins in their native-state (protease inhibitors are not added to this preparation). Urine concentrates are prepared from freshly collected (< 24 hours) human male urine concentrated by ultra filtration (~10 kDa cutoff). The protein concentrate is rapidly buffer exchanged into PBS-EDTA buffer, frozen and lyophilized. This preparation is suitable for proteomic applications requiring non-denatured proteins.
